Being that the final exam is to complete an essay on an unknown topic, the best way to prepare for the final is to look over past essays. For me, it helps to look at the errors that I have made in prior essays so that I am able to correct those mistakes on the next essay. To the students taking this course next semester, I advise you to follow the schedule and take your time writing each of your essays. It may seem like a lot of work in the beginning, however, it slows down as the semester continues. The most valuable aspect of this course include learning how to come up with an effective thesis statement which improved my writing throughout the course. In the beginning of the course, I wondered how effective this course would be for me after already completing the required English courses. However, I still feel that I improved as a writer, which will help me in my future career and possibly grad school.

Plans for Oral Presentation 2
I plan to be a lot more involved in the Oral Group Presentation. I was absent when the first oral presentation was assigned, so I felt out of the loop from the beginning. My group will focus on the importance of a thesis statement. We are creating a PowerPoint so that we are organized and so fellow classmates are able to see the importance of a thesis statement. I hope that this presentation is more organized and better prepared than the first oral presentation.

Journal #10
For Essay 4, I will more than likely bring in to class a writing assignment from one of my Psychology courses. The essay will contain personal information comparing to the information learned throughout Psychology. For the most part, writing in each of my psychology courses is the same as the writing in Writing For College Success. Both of the courses require APA or MLA format, requiring a thesis statement and body paragraphs. When it comes to writing, I have gotten more comfortable with essays as the years progress. I truly believe that the more you write, the better writer you will become. The skills that are most transferable from our class to this assignment are creating an effective thesis statement with supportive body paragraphs. No matter what class you are writing for you must have correct grammar and spelling. This is a skill that is important across the board for each course, as well, as in our everyday life.
Journal #8
Based on the peer review feedback, I plan to re-word a couple of my sentences, as needed. Overall, I received little feedback about changes that need to be made, however, I know that I need to go back through my essay and adjust some things. I will add a few more sentences to each of my paragraphs, as they seem a bit short to me. My Editing Checklist has been very helpful when completing the last two essays. I like having the visual of things that I need to focus on while being able to check off my concerns. I will complete Essay #3 on Sunday evening. I usually complete my school work on Sunday evening so that I am prepared going into a new week. My plan is to go over my rough draft several times correcting each error while adding to my essay.
